last nite was fun - it's our 1st dessert club outing though we can't really call it a dessert club. Went for a fresh durian, mainly for the french guys sake. I mean we've tried whatever cheese they brought during the xmas party so it's time for them to try asian specialty. Hey, its the king of fruits - even they thought they have to try it. Its quite fun watching them eating it, with all the comments just like they're doing some wine or cheese tasting like what the french do. I remember them saying it tasted like mango and onion, coffee and onion, or simply mango 'cos we had 3 durians and each has different flavour. From there we headed down to this beef kway teow stall and had our dinner. Had a great chit chat with the whole crew, though we talked about french culture most of the time. Kimi was soo curious about how the terms french kiss was discovered, why there is such thing as italian lover but not french lover, and lotsa other things that even the guys were speechless in answering it. Haha it was fun and it is true that french people enjoy their food by eating slowly. Too bad the panama couple couldn't make it for this outing as he was the one who made us decide on having a fresh durian as our 1st dessert outing.
Its definitely a great start for the dessert club, and next month we're heading down for the best durian pastries in Singapore.
