Final
first it's a yes, then it's a not sure, then it's a yes again then it's definitely a no again - and the last sign was from up above. no one can be blamed here. then it's a signal issue and unreachable connection - who to be blamed here? again, no one.
with this i decided to end all the stupidity
like a leaf, waiting for a strong wind to blow it away from the tree...

shall we?
okay my wonderful morning was a little bit disrupted by the news i received. well i surely am not deciding things, simply giving out the choice. actually i spent the weekend thinking about it and i am so very sure that nothing NOTHING really need to be concerned about. all of this infatuation i had is simply because the idea of it sounds sweet and nice, but after facing the truth and putting more thoughts on it, including some known fact that i see around me, i know that nothing needs to be worried about - lets put it to test this evening...

wonderful morning
spent friday working as i didn't join my friend for a run, my whole body is aching like hell from the thursday torture with my trainer. decided to turned up for the gathering as i am quite curious to see a person i've been hearing a lot about.
spent saturday at home resting and went out in the afternoon to catch a movie. from there we met another friend and had an early dinner continued with chit chatting and the search for our little black dress - haha, most of us ended up looking at a normal dress as it fits our personality more.
spent sunday at home - domestic work, some cleaning and cooking for myself. really pampered myself with lots of rest that i even had a siesta!! ended the day watching a dvd.
woke up early this morning for my pump class, haven't been to this class for weeks now. it made me much more happy when the instructor looked at me saying 'shoulder track' with a knowing smile, i suspected he's playing my favourite track and i am right!!
my whole body is aching now but i am just feeling WONDERFUL...

my hr mate, whom i work closely with in the HR project is moving to another firm. today is her last day so she came and gave me this sweet little cookie. i was happy that she got a better job which requires her to travel a lot. truth is when she told me the day she tendered i was quite shocked and admitted to her that all i could think now was who would i be working with for the upcoming release which conference call will starts on sept. well, truth is with only 2 of us doing the HR her departure is quite shocking as no one from HR knows about it. i just hope that come september her replacement is as good as her and as great to work with as her. due to her departure i too have to learn HR process flow. well this shows that no matter you're working at the back office and sometimes less appreciated then the professional, you are still an asset to the firm - just look at the chaos happenning when the other project team learnt about her departure.all the best in you future endeavour cindy - it's a pleasure knowing you ..
i truly enjoyed the time spent with you, attending all the morning and night conference call.
if i was late in any of the calls, a can of light coke would always be there ready for me to open and sip - that's how sweet you are!
Vibes ...
was having a chat with a dear friend of mine. from me asking about a hindi movie and one of the movie playing in the cinema we ended up talking about hindi actors. he said that i had a very high standards based on the list of hindi actors that i like. hmm, though i said its just for viewing purpose still he thought i had a high standards. i guess thats the impression people had and he said its the vibes that i gave out. well one couldn't change that right, its already built in you.
whats with vibes - I don't really know what is the meaning of it. is it the way you talk to people? the way you approach people? or simply your body language? well - if it is then no one can change that as changing it kinda like changing your personality. at least i think so. i mean you can improve your communication skill, your socialising skill but changing your personality? naaah - thats like changing you into someone else...
he kinda agreed with me saying vibes couldn't be change as it's built-in and said that he knew it. i asked what he meant by "he knew it" - and he went offline .. such a sweet friend of mine eh!

Yawn part 2..
okay, today its my turn - not sleepy but my eyes is getting smaller. went to ladies night at thumper yesterday, basically to attend my friend's birthday celebration. was so not in the mood actually after getting the closure that i've been waiting for. had to stay back at work 'til almost 9 that i messaged the girls saying i won't be going - was really not in the mood for socialising. prior to that the emailing session with another friend made me felt i dunno, better? relief?. anyways on my way home i decided what the heck - just go there and have some fun. so i messaged the girls saying that i changed my mind, met the whole group of people at marche then walked together to thumper. luckily cindy called saying that she was already there and kinda make me relief as i no longer was the only misfits there. music was good, crowd was great and i waited for the live band to take their break before going home.
closure wise - i want it to be a final closure but some of my friends' words kept on repeating in my mind that makes me feel unsure. but i guess its better to make this as a final closure without anymore expectation - just follow where the wind blows eh ...

Yawn ...
Thats what i've been reading today - email from friends saying that they're sleepy. Me? surprisingly I feel refresh though my eyes a little bit smaller than usual :).
Went to the supposedly surprised birthday celebration yesterday. Reached there around 7 where I met a friend then together we bought the card, had our dinner then walked around waiting for the time to meet the rest. Quite a nice celebration I shall say though I was very full from the dinner I managed to finish 1 big glass of ice cream and a piece of cake. Spent the night talking about almost everything and without realising it its already morning.
I know the surprise was no longer there but I guess my friend was touched with us writing the card in front of her and some additional "surprise" she received from the only guy there .. haha ..
once again - happy birthday my dear friend ..

Before I Die ...
been busy jumping from one meeting to another meeting today, so far managed to control myself a little bit and ended up having 7 sweets and a can of light coke. surprisingly no delta files for today and i have nothing to harass my workmates from other office that i ended up here while waiting for tonights unsurprise birthday dinner ;)
Hey, I guess I'll continue this some other time .. gonna concentrate on my chat with my two dearly beloved uni friends ..

Hey, I guess I'll continue this some other time .. gonna concentrate on my chat with my two dearly beloved uni friends ..
plan is just a plan ..
was busy yesterday planning on our short break next week and at the same time lying to a friend that I had problem with the group and need to share my problem with her tonight over dinner when actually we're going to throw her a surprise birthday party. trip wise since there's only one guy we're trying hard to find another guy to share room with him but ended up deciding to share the cost evenly amongst us 3 with him taking the single room. birthday surprise wise, everything was perfectly set - i will go there earlier, order the cake and wait for my friend to come. once she's there i'll text the rest who will then come with the cake.
BUT
a friend emailed saying that the trip need to be postponed as her grandfather passed away. she included some other people in the email including the birthday girl without removing the attached email which was about our plan. hahaha- no more white lies..

can once in a lifetime happen twice?they said once in your lifetime someone comes along whom you are absolutely meant to be with. Everything feels great, stars are aligned, body and spirit are in balance.
went for a baking course today - though it's not fully a baking course. We're only there to see how it was done and each of us brought home a small tray of the apple crumble. Before going there we went to a music store where I finally found the movie I was searching for.
Couldn't wait another day for it, once I was done with the domestic work, I watched it. Just like that , the foolishly romantic side of me is awaken again. All sorts of scenarios start running wild in my mind. If only this could happen in real life, I would've scribble a message and lets destiny play its part.
I've make a note to myself to visit the patisserie if I got a chance to visit NY again in the future...
*a special thanks to someone who reminded me on how beautifully romantic this movie is

Rock Climbing ..
Yupe - together with cindy and ally, I just came back from the indoor rock climbing workshop.
FINALLY!! have been eyeing this activity for sooo long, I was so happy when I found out that cindy was also interested and when we have to find people to join for the workshop ally said he wanted to try as well.
So there we were, attending the 2 hours workshop. We had 30 mins of theory before trying on the climbing. Sooo fun. It was so funny when I had to hold the rope when ally did his climbing; when he was on his way down I didn't squat properly so I actually went up - being pulled up by his weight!! The instructor pulled me down else two of us would be hanging there. People around us laughed and we couldn't help but laughed as well. I ended up letting go of the rope pretty fast that he went down pretty fast so he started to scream as well 'cos if I didn't control he might crashed on the floor. Luckily the instructor was around and asked me to slow down. Poor ally, I was so tense that I didn't let go of the rope when he was already on the ground that he kept on squeaking asking for more rope to be released. It's a little bit painful for guys compared to girls being pulled up that way. haha .. thinking of it now makes me laugh again...
We did our trial at the intermediate wall then did on our own at the beginner wall - 3 of us managed to reach the top here then we continued to the intermediate wall where cindy had difficulty and then me and ally tried on the advance wall. I actually lost my grip in the intermediate wall once that my rope twisted and I hit my back on the rock - it was quite painful but it didn't stop me from trying again.
Advance wall was so tough - we tried 2 different walls where ally had to push me up on one of it else I wouldn't be able to get my grip on the 2nd rock. Even with him pushing me I had difficulty getting my hand on the rock - really test my upper body here. Its more tough when ally was the one holding the rope down there as he would not let me down until I reach the top - its good actually as I have to try again and again though once I totally gave up as my grips were getting weak and I couldn't find a way up I simply shouted again and again that I wanted to go down until he really let me down.
Had lunch afterwards where as usual we talked about all stuff and this was when I realised.. really realised that what I've been thinking about was actually not there - I have been thinking of it simply because I was just in love with the idea - not more not less ... hopefully this stays the way it is.
Rock Climbing wise - we definitely going to do it again another day ... definitely

Karaoke Time
I feel a lot better today. Work really had me yesterday. I was just so annoyed that everything was passed to me and how annoying the user was .. 3-4 times changes need to be done within a day and she kept on asking why why and why. HOW THE HELL WOULD I KNOW. Your previous request was handled by my boss okay - I was supposed to cover during her absence ONLY and yet now it became my additional baby. At the same time I am still trying to complete my testing and having an online discussion discussing the problem with people from other country. GL Ledger is such a pain in the ass to understand within a short time maan, especially for an IT person like me. I am used to multitasking but doing 5 things at one go was so stressful yesterday. I guess the fact that my daily greeter was on leave added to my stress. Without our daily chatting something was kinda missing - and I have to cope with this when she move to her new job next month. Good God!! I ended up doing all my stuff with tears filling my eyes.
Luckily I managed to get another friend out for dinner, so we went out to a lebanese place that I've been eyeing for ages and had dinner there. We talked a lot and she too asked me questions that has been asked so many times to me. We then talked about it and I was actually quite surprised with some new facts that I now know - but I guess I have to accept that no one is as perfect as I want them to be ..
So today, feeling a little lighter than yesterday I went online, checking the movie schedule as me & my flatmate decided to go for a movie after lunch. That means - good bye bodypump. Nevermind!! I want to have a relaxing day .. hence the reason Im writing this blog without any plan of writing it when I went online.. I simply want to sing along with all the songs playing on my machine ...

its time to spread my wings and fly ...
Gosh I'm so bored, I don't want to go home but I want to be out of office the soonest possible. I don't know what's happenning to me that I simply burst out unintentionally. Maybe I am just annoyed with the fact that the list keep on growing on my part or because of something else. It's a long weekend yet I am so not looking forward to it.

Les Poupées russesSometimes we wonder if the best is yet to come - just like the russian dolls, we do wonder if there is another smaller doll within the one we are holding now so we keep on trying to open looking for another one. Just look at Xavier ..

There it goes
I always wanted to take diving course - been calling the padi certified places so many times but I always ended up cancelling as I have no friend(s) to go with. I actually promised myself that I will take the course this year even if I have to do it alone.
I am not sure how but I finally found someone who's already advance in diving. She told me that she too took the beginner course alone and actually she had introduced me to her diving instructor through email. They are actually having a diving trip next month, during the public holiday and since there are 4 beginners joining she was asking me to join. I surely am interested and already start thinking of the trip until I realised that I have to be in KL for training at the same week. Thought the 3 days training is confirmed so that I could still join the trip as it is also in malaysia that I confirmed the date with my boss 1st. That is when we realised the training is extended for a week - we will also be on training during the public holiday.... sooo saaad!!
There goes my chance on diving AGAIN - I guess I really have to put more effort in starting the course else I'll be delaying it again and again ..
ah well, for now I think I'll start with the indoor rock climbing first - anyone wanna try with me?

* Thank You *
This post is inspired by the conversation I had with a friend earlier today
Few months ago I was known as a gym addict. I spent most of my time there not only because I am so into gym but also because I am bored. I don't have many friends in this country. I tried to stay in touch with my friends here but either they're married and busy with their own life or that they have their own circle of friends. I spent most of my weekend watching movie with my flatmate. She has quite a number of friends here and sometimes she's busy during the weekend that I only see her at night or only when we went for a movie. After joining one of the online forum, she has more activities that I felt more and more alone here. I have to admit that sometimes I do envy her for having lots of friends here and truth is I do wish I have few of my school friends here as well, friends that i can have dinner with, friends to go shopping or karaoke or anything else with. I kind of accept the fact that I don't have many friends here that I simply spend most of my time at the gym.
This changed when I braved myself meeting new people late last year. I actually asked my flatmate along but she refused to join that I went to the dinner alone. Almost pulled out when I was in front of the restaurant, I then told myself that it was simply dinner. If you felt awkward you can leave as nobody there knows you. I braved myself and decided to stay until dinner was over. After that dinner I approachh on of the girl and from there things start rolling.
I think the turning point was when I organised an event as suggested by one of the girl where one girl who joined this event kept contacting me and she is the person who is responsible for us having this small group - a group that I hold dear in my heart. I know that eventually this group too will be gone as everyone has its own plan which mean they too might be leaving this country sooner or later.
I really really have to thank E for organising the dinner I went to for the first time. There is no such activity happenning nowadays that E is banned and the other active person there is no longer active.
Had I not went to the dinner I guess I will still be spending my weekend solely at the gym or walking around city alone.

::Capoeira::
Woke up early today just to fall back asleep until it was 12 pm that I decided to hit the gym before meeting a friend to check out capoeira. After gym i went to city hall, met my friend then together we walked to the capoeira class. June was there and we chit chatted before the class. The class was good and it really made me more eager to sign up. At 5 pm they stopped the class as they're having a roda in front of takashimaya. Me and my friend went to get some food before heading to orchard. Quite a great time spent during this - I shared some stories of what's happenning since he's quite busy lately that he didn't read all the emails and he too shared some of his feelings about last week's event - how he was quite dissappointed when we decided not to join them for dinner. Well at least now he knew what's happenning. Thanks for the treat and the tissue ya!!
On the way to orchard he kinda told me about whats happenning in his career and I was a little bit sad with what might happen in the future. Well that's life, you win some you loose some .. He also said some few other things that made me think thoroughly about things - really an eye opener as I never looked at it that way before. Thanks again!!
The roda was cooool - way cool especially when the master himself did it with some of the advance students. Left around 6.15 PM as he had a housewarming to attend and I wanted to catch a movie as well. Had my dinner (or should I said supper?) after movie before going home.
Looks like I have to go to office tomorrow now that I realised I haven't submit the HR delta files to the central team .. sigh
Woke up early today just to fall back asleep until it was 12 pm that I decided to hit the gym before meeting a friend to check out capoeira. After gym i went to city hall, met my friend then together we walked to the capoeira class. June was there and we chit chatted before the class. Yummylicious
indeed it was, sinful BUT without any regrets. Just came back from my uncle's place for maulid (celebrating the birth of the prophet PBUH) with my tummy feeling so darn contented with everything it just had. it started after the isya prayer until around 10 pm. then came the best part - food! the wife of this uncle of mine is a good cook & tonight she's cooking nasi padang. of course we have to serve those people who did the prayers etc. i was so hungry that i kept on eating the dessert while waiting for our turn to eat. when all the guess left we families straightaway sit down on the floor and eat. they serve it i don't know how to explain it but the people here called it 'makan hidang' - meaning everything was served on a tray .. rice with all the dishes and 4 person eat together. so me, my cousin and 3 of my aunties sat and ate together. since there was 5 person, i went to the kitchen to get more smashed potato, egg, chicken, beef, pickles and other stuff. food was gooooood. we then chit chatted, i was enjoying my time with my cousins sharing my recent trip experience with them while they too shared their stories until it's almost midnight i decided to make a move as i'll be walking home alone. i was hoping to bring some food back but my aunt said she knew that i wouldn't want any and i can only smile feeling a little disappointed. but then again she asked again if i want to bring home the beef and i said yes .. chicken? yess sambal goreng? yess and then i request for the pickles and rice as well. hahaha .. no way am i going to say no to a great home cooked meal. no worries for tomorrow morning's breakfast - its enough for me and my flatmate...

IOPPOUYGU
here i am against my better judgement. though i know what i'll get i still insist on getting online to confirm that my guts can be trusted. yet i still behave like a small kid, saying the magic word and staring at the screen hoping for the red to turn into green.
ps. yes my friend, i know i said that i'll move to livejournal soon; how soon? i am not sure myself. what i am sure is that i'll join you and another friend building a community there :)

If I Were You ...
I am in the middle of doing my work when I realise something and feel a little relief after accepting this fact. Well truth is I thought about it this morning inside the train on my way to work and now i feel absolutely right about my earlier thoughts. This morning was full with what ifs, but now that I try to put myself in your shoes, I realise that I too might make the same move. After knowing the fact I might reconsider things straightaway. But no, you didn't - you keep being the normal you and I know you're kind of disappointed when we were not as what you think we would be that day, especially me who was just following the flow when I know I have someone else to count on. If I were in your shoes - I might do something worst...

Blimmey ...
went to the gym last night for my training. after training i followed my trainer to the lounge as she wanted to show me pictures of the HK instructor she met during her recent trip there. on the way to the lounge i told her that the guy standing near the reception is the one i said cute. she told me she knew and she actually told that guy that someone thought he's cute. still holding the biscuits she gave me from HK we were chit chatting when this guy suddenly grabbed the biscuit from my hand saying 'sorry, no food allowed in the gym' and walked away. we laughed and looked at him who stopped, turned around saying 'this really looks good' and went back to us returning the biscuit to me. that is when my trainer said 'i told you that my client said you look cute right?' he said yes and then my trainer - to my horror - pointed at me. this guy said to my trainer who's wearing red 'now you're making my face as red like that' me? i can only stand there still feeling surprised from my trainer's bluntness. never EVER in my life someone i admire or even think cute/handsome know what i think - but i guess its true - never say never...

Vulnerability
my 3rd post .. for today that is - waiting for people in another side of the world to wake up and come to office can be quite frustrating especially when you want something to be resolved asap. ah well, i'll just count on the blessing that there is no conference call today .. we must look at the good angle of everything that happens right?
i was talking to my colleague who knows that i'm on a certain mission. one story lead to another and we ended up talking about feelings in general. i told her about what happened few years back - how i'm a person who forgive and forget though some of it will still lingers in my heart. i am that sort of person, i tend to forget whatever annoyance or anger i had for a person as soon as i spoke to that person; sometimes just a pop up window or email saying hi will let my anger/annoyance away. but deep - way deep - down inside i do still remember the harsh stuff - be it action, words, whatever - that person did to me.
disappointed as i may be it won't affect whatever relationship i have but the need for me to remember that is simply as a warning to myself to avoid further disappointment in the future - especially when i have to face or even interact with the source of it.
in a nutshell, i too have a heart that can be shattered.

meaningful yet ..
reaching for something in the distance
so close you can almost taste it
release your inhibitions
feel the rain on your skin
no one else can feel it for you
only you can let it in
no one else, no one else
can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
live your life with arms wide open
today is where your book begins
the rest is still unwritten

Good Morning ...
Its funny that whenever my boss is not around I ended up coming way early to office, just like today - 30 minutes earlier. So decided to blog first though there's nothing much happenning considering I just blogged yesterday.
June is back in town, which means she is going back to torturing me today. Realised she has a class on wednesday night now, hmm... gonna skip her class today but will surely support her next week. Judging from the class that starts only at 9 pm, another late night will be spent at the gym now.
I am so very happy for her - it seems that everything runs smoothly for her, even she has more classes to teach nowadays. Good for you girl!
Went for combat alone yesterday as my friend pulled out at last minute. Met someone I knew in class and spent the time talking to him while waiting for the class to begin. Soooo happy that the usual tuesday instructor wasn't able to make it so class was covered by my favourite instructor!! I even said 'yaaay' and my friend laughed - haven't do his combat for ages now. He has a new hairstyle which looks good compared to the previous one - should tell him this when I attend his class next time.
Went home from gym and went online awhile where I chatted with a friend for few minutes while waiting for some show to start on TV. It was so funny that we kinda have the same personality that when she told me about things that happened I said 'you should've said this' and she went 'hey .. i did say that - the exact words' and when I said 'you should've also said this' and she again went 'hey - you know me well' .. Soo funny that 2 people can have the exact same phrase when faced by a certain situation .. or is it strange??
On 1/2 day leave today - probably stop by the hospital before heading down to the gym tonight. Hoping to catch a friend at the gym and plan on working out together this friday.
My jaw is no longer dislocated! Though the pain is still there, its no longer a torture for me to eat nowadays. No conference call for this week as most of the functional team is out of the country for training.
Its Wednesday .. 2 more days to weekend!!

Waks ...
From a big to small to selected and now a private group. Oh la la, its getting confusing for me. I've always been the one invited so I have no rights to bring someone else in. But with the selected getting divided I don't really feel comfortable hiding things from these small selected people in the long run. Maybe it's time for me to ask people instead of being asked....

::People Pleaser
Being a people pleaser is difficult. Especially when you want people to be together so that you can enjoy things and you realised this is impossible after hearing a comment of one party about the other one. Introducing a person into a group is not as easy as you think it is. After the brief introduction came the comments and you realise you can't force mixing people from different interest together.
I know some people might be offended or even angry with how they thought I have change from the old me they knew. I tried mixing things together as I know it will be easy for me in the long run as well. I started with a brief story then came the introduction. But can I change people's first perception or feeling about someone? I can't!
So I guess I'll just have to bare with the fact that I couldn't please everyone ...

Im tired ...
weekend was very tiring for me. I guess its that Im not used to doing things without proper plan that makes me feel tired. A friend emailed asking if I want to go to a charity event. Great acoustic group - budakpantai.
Supposed to go for a capoeira viewing on saturday that I decided not to go to the gym so that I can go straightaway home after capoeira. My friend messaged saying that he couldn't make it so after having my hair cut I went straight home. Thought that I would meet my flatmate at home and thinking of catching a movie with her at night, but she was not at home that I spent the whole evening simply laying down listening to music. But then a friend call asking what am I doing tonight, and since I have nothing we went out for dinner and then headed down for a dessert - the one that's supposed to be cancelled ;).
Sunday was not bad either .. accompanied my aunt to see one of the meet n greet session with her fave actor. Its so very pack but it's fine with me having a good time with my aunt. Went straight home afterwards and spend the whole evening at home.
Got a message from a friend and it made me quite confuse. Im stuck in a middle of things and the problem is this small group decided that we'll stick to just few of us. Sigh
I miss going to the cinemas - there are so many movies that I want to watch... By hook or by crook I'll go and watch Failure to Launch myself this weekend..

went for a professional networking session last night. it was a fun night though you have to brave yourself and mingle with all those strangers finding topic to talk about. truth be known, I'm suck at this - I always judge myself and sometimes feel intimidated when I'm out of my comfort zone. I really have to brush up my communication and networking skill. it's a great night meeting lots of interesting people from all kind of workline, though mostly are in finance or business. The organiser (it's 's' not 'z' as commented by some folks last night) was happy with the turnout that they decided to move to another place for the 2nd session but we left early as we wanted to catch the 1st episode of the 2nd season of Lost. On my way home I checked my mobile and realised there's 7 missed call from my uncle. Apparently another uncle of mine was hospitalised and I need to rush to the hospital as everyone is waiting for me there so that we could go home together. Taxi was so difficult to find even calling one seemed impossible that I managed to booked one 15 minutes after calling. Took so long for the cab to come that my uncle asked me to cancel and go home as the patient was already asleep. I felt soo bad - gonna pay a visit during my lunch break today.

Singapore-Bangkok-Kanchanaburi-Bangkok-Singapore
Its raining out there and i am waiting for 6.30 to come. What better to do than post about my recent weekend getaway.
Friday, March 24. Finally I met my 2 other travel mates and we boarded the plane. Lucky for us that we managed to get seat near to each other. Thats the drawback of travelling on a budget airline, no seat number. The almost 3 hours journey didn't feel that long due to the great conversation I had with cindy. Reached Bangkok and straightaway we hailed a cab - almost got cheated by one that we decided to join the airport taxi queue heading to our hostel. A clean place though the bed and pillow was hard but we managed to sleep and prepare for the real excitement the following day.
Saturday, March 25. The tour bus picked us up at 7 AM as it's a 2 hours journey to Kanchanaburi. We stopped at dumnernsaduak floating market and had a ride along the canal for around 40 minutes. Did some stopping during the way and its so funny travelling with these 2 caucasian guys as the focus of the locals were turned to them which was quite fun for us to see.
From the market, we did another stop at the wood and carving factory before heading straight to the floating restaurant along the river kwai for lunch. Lunch was good especially with the view of the dead railway. For those who follow history should know about this bridge being bombed during the world war - I only knew about it when I reached this place :D. After lunch we checked in to our hotel where we were given a superior room .. haha so for the backpacking trip ruined by the tour package. Back to the road - we headed down to the Kanchanaburi war cemetery before taking a longtail boat to visit the Kao Poon Cave. The sun was blazing hot and we had to walk quite a journey in and out, up and down the cave that we felt all our lunch were gone just like that. After the cave, we visited the Jeath war museum before taking the longtail boat back to the dead railway and had a walk from one end to another end. From there we went to a local elephant camp for a ride on the elephant along the mountain and river. Our elephant was so naughty that it always strayed from the path and the trainer had to kept on coming back and pull him back to the right path. Once we reached the river, we were asked to prepare ourselves for a bath with the elephant. It was soooo fun, sitting on them then together we went into the river. We were given a brush so we start brushing its head after it was sprayed with soap. Being the naughty elephant, it kept on diving in so we have to pull its rope harder as we too were pulled down. It was fun .. so very fun. It will then use its trunk and sprayed water on us. There were few times that I felt I was going to fall into the water when he dived in and move around. Ended the day with a dinner served on the river bank. Back to the hotel and after having shower and all, the guys knocked on our door asking if we want to join for a walk. So 4 of us then headed to the night bazaar before heading back home and sleep preparing for the fun awaiting us the following day.
Sunday, March 26. After having our breakfast we went to one of Thailand's finest's waterfall - Erawan Waterfall. Wearing a swimsuit underneath we're prepared for another fun day. Apparently there's 7 waterfalls and Erawan is the 7th one, which mean hours of hiking for us. We stopped at each waterfalls but decided to have a swim on our way down. The path was so tough that we know we need a huge lunch to get back all the energy we lost. Once we reached the Erawan waterfall, the guys had a swim while me and cindy decided to swim at waterfall no. 5 as its more tranquil and less crowd. On the way down we stopped at waterfall no. 5. Lucky for us no one was there so we 2 girls decided to swim at one of the lake (can i call it lake?) where we were being bitten by fishes!! so funny that they really bit on us. From there we went to a small area surrounded by stone that it looks like a perfect nature-made jacuzzi and spent quite a time there with the guys sitting on the stone. After having enough of fun we continued our way down where our lunch is waiting for us. From the waterfall, we went to the tiger temple where we can see tigers up close without them being caged or chained. Of course each of us were assigned a trainer that accompanied us walking around them. I was quite afraid when I wanted to take a picture the tiger that I touched moved around and trying to look behind where I was squatting. The trainer pushed its head back and it was quite annoyed of it. After some picture taking we seated awhile before going to the wildlife sanctuary and headed back to the car for a trip back to Bangkok. Back to our backpacking hostel, we had shower and took a cab to lumphini night bazaar for dinner and walked around the night market. Headed down to city and went to a bar recommended by one of cindy's boss. There cindy realised that her camera was gone and so did her mood for fun. Poor cindy, lost her 2nd camera in few month's times. All she could think of was the picture she took and she felt sorry that I too lost all the elephant pictures taken with her camera. Well I got my tiger shots she got her elephant shots .. fair enough right? Spent few hours there before going back to our hostel.
Monday, March 27. Started the day with a breakfast before heading to the city area. Spent most of the time at the shopping centre before heading back to our hostel to get our bag, went to the airport and get back to reality.
All in all it was a great weekend getaway. Really a good time to let go of all the problem we had at work or for some of us in their life. Its a great escape for me as well as I always want to do this kind of trip - those close to nature. Elephant, Waterfall, Tiger - what else can I ask for!!

Elephant, Waterfall, Tiger - what else can I ask for!!
...WAFF
was chatting on Yahoo!Messenger with my uni friend talking about his status when we suddenly talked about compatibality. I was telling him that a friend of mine said that when you feel that you have find someone you are compatible with - hold on to it.
My Friend (MF): 'so have you ever found someone you feel you're compatible with?'
Me: 'Hmm.. what is compatible?'
MF: 'WAFF'
Me: 'What is WAFF'
MF: 'Warm and Fuzzy Feeling'
Me: 'Hmmm .. but that must be the first thing you feel upon seeing that person, but once you're involved in a conversation or something else that feeling turns into comfortable right?'
MF: 'exactly'
hmmm .. so have you found someone that made you have WAFF??

La Marche de l'empereur
march of the penguins ..
If you think your life is tough - think again, or better still, watch this movie. Life might be tough for us but its much tougher for these little creatures. A well made film - c'est la marche de l'amour, la marche de la chicks, and the march of everything else that I couldn't remember - hey, its in french!

RIP my beloved Valencia ...
switched on my phone on sunday morning to receive a sad news "your cat is dead". I was surprised but not sad - guess it's due to her illness.
I feel bad not shedding a single tear for her when she's been known as my cat. Well my beloved, you are now with your mom and brother Valentin. No more suffering from any coughing and phlegm ya. Have fun playing up there ..
Back to Reality :-
yupe, I'm back from the short getaway - gonna need time to do my short stories on that, knowing me it's going to end up being a long story.
surprisingly, I can't wait to get back to work simply so that I get back to the daily rituals of morning greetings & emails with my friends .. strange isn't it?

au revoir ...
yes finally in 5 hours time I'll be sitting comfortably hopefully next to cindy in a plane for a weekend break. I can't wait to jump in the waterfall, have a bath with elephants, and walk side by side with the tiger. I really hope that I'll bring lots of pictures and great memories back home.

Girl Talk :-
had lunch with my girlfriends today. one topic led to another and then came the 'serious' topic. kinda giving some courage for a friend and truth is we kinda look at ourselves as well. what would we do when this happened to us. hmm .. its always easier to give advice than being the one receiving it. i hope my friend has the courage to do whatever we told her to do. truth is i might not dare do whatever i told her to do as well and i truly admitted this when we're walking together. both of us being asian and all find it hard to follow the advice given by the other friend but sometimes its worth the try - all the best my friend!

Wonderful Weekend ...
indeed it was ...
Started with me having dinner with my lovely new friends. I know they're having a so-called birthday bash for me but I was so very touched with their kindness and love, especially that we have only known each other for few months. After blowing the candle and eating the cake (tiramisu, my fave) we continued our talk, a very good talk. For the 1st time I felt that I can let my heart known openly. We talked about some personal issues as well - things that I only share with few close friends, but I really really felt comfortable with them that I let all out. Its a great chatting, as apparently some of the girls shared the same feelings and we got feedbacks from the guys as well so we know what the opposite sex thinks. We also did checkout the cute guys and girls there - geez, those guys can be bitchy when comes to commenting as well. Ended the night with a walk to the train station where we parted our way.
Reached home to a gift from my flatmate - a gift that she hung in front of my room. It was a very nice gift and I love it to bits. Chit chatted a while before sleeping as I have to wake up early for our cycling trip. I still couldn't sleep and ended up texting my friends then continue to rewind the day's event until I felt asleep.
Saturday: -
Our ubin cycling trip. A lot of people was surprised that I wanted to do cycling there when I couldn't even balance myself on the bike. Well, I found a victim to ride the tandem bike so I could enjoy this outing. I haven't been out with this group for a while so I thought this is the time to go out with them again. Cycling was great - we discovered the discovery trail, took a lunch break before doing the 2nd trail. I was so very touched that they too celebrated my birthday with birthday cake and candle all. Imagine their effort on buying a cake and bring it to ubin island! This shows how good friends they are. I am so very very very touched.
After cycling we went home 1st as I promised to join some of my friends for the latino & salsa performance at Esplanade. But then I was also going to catch a movie with my flatmate that I texted them and said I bailed out. This old me still need to save some energy for myself. Apparently they're still at the event when we're done with the movie that we stopped by awhile before heading home.
Come sunday, Combat Launch!! :-
Went to the gym - planned to go to orchard as my fave instructor is there but I was too lazy to carry my shoes etc that I ended up going to raffles instead. Combat 27 was okay though the muay thai is more like a street fight - but I love the recovery track, upper block - lower block - palm attack!! Didn't stay for capoeira fitness as I have a wedding to attend in the evening.
A friend called prior to the wedding and she told me everything that I missed the night before. Apparently I was one of the subject in their conversation and I was really really touched to hear their thoughts of me. I told her that this was the best birthday present a person could ever asked for!
The wedding was great - it's those typical indian wedding with bhangra dance etc. Food was sinfully sinful - really love the dessert, especially the ras malai. Stayed awhile and had a great chatting with my dearie cousin. Gosh, they've all grown up that they shared their personal stories with me made me realise I too need to have a personal story to share with them ;)
Its a tiring but definitely a WONDERFUL weekend. Managed to wake up early for pump. I missed the launch on saturday and this is the only time for me to try it - it was okay but tough shoulder track I should say. Going for a kickboxing trial tonight - I hope its a good one...
there's so much to write that I don't know how to begin with - all i can said for now is that I had a WONDERFUL birthday and weekend this time around. Well, knowing me i know i'll end up writing this out of order, simply writing what i felt at the moment i'm typing. I'm gonna spend my lunch time writing it down later, now - i'll simply get back to work, rewinds what happened over the past 3 days and play it on my mind..

lovely daycame in the morning with a b'day greetings from my work mates. though my b'day is not here yet they believe in celebrating earlier than later. surprisingly i got more than a gift! even the dept's gift was over budget that the difference was paid by my other colleague, so i should said i received 4 gifts!! - from my workmates (with someone topping up the difference), and from 2 of my other workmates & so cute that everything are in blue.
jun accidentally spelt the beans by sending email with 're: birthday bash' as the subject. haha .. never mind, i'll just see what's coming up tonight ...
and now i received an e-card from the whole dept in SPANISH!! they used the online translation to compose the message so the translation is soo funny but the meaning is there and most importantly - the thought that counts...
what else can i ask for to end my week

Yeah ..
1. My aunt just had a surgery. Dad and mum went to visit her in her hometown. We 3 sisters decided to send her a bouquet of flower wishing her a speedy recovery and give her some token of sympathy. Her comment was 'these 3 girls are so united'. Hell yeah! though we argue a lot we're still sisters. Nothing can ever break the bond we have .. not now and I truly hope not ever.
2. I truly realised that my earlier posting was only due to me feeling down at that time. You know the feeling you have when something had just happened and you don't have enough time to digest everything thoroughly. Now, no I don't think I am that down - I'll just enjoy the view and that's it. We'll see how it goes when it's put to test.
3. Office had problem with the IDD hence we had to cancel our conference call when there's so many things need to be discussed if we want to get back on track. But we managed to solve few stuffs through online meeting and looks like we're back on track. If only I could push myself hard to complete creating the test data I could really end this day with a big smile on my face.
4. I've made up my mind and decided to go cycling. Wakeboarding wise, I'll decide tomorrow as the organiser hasn't send any email again so still not sure if its still on or not. Anyway its gonna be there another day but missing combat launch means missing the fun.

An Affair ...
I feel like Im having an affair, cheating from my truly companion for the past few years - gym. Never in my life will I miss any launch but now I'm thinking of just missing it! Last year, I postponed my trip back home due to the launch, I cursed and swore when I knew that I'd be in US during launch that once I'm back I straightaway attend every classes just to cover what I had missed.
This time around, tomorrow is balance launch and I don't mind missing this, especially that I suspect the dinner organised tomorrow is for me and I do smell something fishy there but I'll just play along with it. Saturday is pump launch and I think I don't mind missing it either 'cos I'm not suppose to do weight training on saturday if I do my lower body tomorrow. I'm still contemplating though between learning to cycle or attending pump launch. I really really need to learn cycling if I want to go for whatever race/event that requires cycling in the future.
Sunday - this is where I feel I'm cheating BIG - is combat launch. I've already planned to attend 2 launches at 2 different branches and kinda guess where my fave instructor will be. And then come the announcement of a wakeboarding session. Aaargghhh .. I want both!! Wakeboarding will only take a few hours but I'm sure with the location being far from city I'd definitely going to miss the launch if I attend it. So how - which one must I choose? I have to make up my mind soon.

It's monday but somehow i hope that weekend is just around the corner. Guess its due to me working on saturday and sunday. well, can't complain though - c'est ma vie. Weekend was okay though plan to learn blading was cancelled due to the rain. But I guess it's just nice to chill out & I haven't been laughing like this for so long that I really really enjoyed the day. We even went for a 'crap' movie for the sake of cheering a friend who was feeling down but she didn't join the movie that we ended up cheering ourselves up. Went to the IT show again on sunday since jun had decided to get the toshiba notebook. Was totally exhausted as I had insomnia and didn't sleep well the night before that I went straight to bed once I'm home.

stupid silly me :- the 1st time you met a person you simply want to avoid him just because of some stupid things you had in mind. the 2nd time you saw him you just couldn't remember the 1st time as you're taken away right at that moment and realised that he is not that bad looking. then you looked forward to meeting him again. when you saw him again you realised that he is much more handsome than you remembered from the 1st meeting. then he started to open his mouth and you again realised that there is a lot in that brain cell of his and it makes you admire him more. after parting ways, you said to yourself that all these are just some silly stuff because you haven't found someone to admire for so long that you'll just jump right to the 1st available person. then it's over until you meet him again where you said to yourself 'gosh, never remembered him to be this handsome before'. then you started to be involved in a conversation with him and realised that you had few things in common with him. you just simply enjoyed listening to his story which mostly came from experience and he did the same too - listening to whatever that came out from your mouth. you parted ways again and said to yourself that you are being silly for thinking of something simply unreachable. you are also annoyed when you realised that an additional stuff will break the ritual from the last meeting onwards. but then again you simply can't wait to meet this person again.
God - not sure when will this be over or even if its worth the trouble ...

Racing against time :-
God I'm so tired, just feel like going home and straightaway go under the cover and sleep. My eyes are so tired from staring at numbers the whole day, my whole body is aching from not getting enough rest and yet I still have to prepare for tomorrow's meeting. The sweetness of life ...

a well-deserved break :-
finally after being slaved for the past few weeks, broke down in tears twice, i decided i have to stand up for myself & deserved at least 1 day of leave during these tormenting weeks. Last Friday was the turning point for me, I have to start learning to say 'NO' and today I went to apply for 1 day leave. She looked at me and I guess she can see how stressful I am with my hair tied in a bun and stuff & said that 1 day shouldn't be a big issue if I complete whatever need to be done on that day earlier. 1st time in my life I did a jumping joy in front of my boss and emailed my friend saying its approved..
ps. i know i promised a friend to post something like she posted on her blog - give me more time ya, probably during my lunch break on wed if not tomorrow

death sentence no more :-
just finished a conference call with oz and boy it was such a relieve for me. seems like all the burden on my shoulder has just been lifted. everyday before i sleep and the moment i wake up the application is the first thing on my mind. today we found out that they themselves actually got a contract programmer to build it for months. boy am i so relieved, even my colleague told me that i can sleep peacefully tonight. really really feel like im floating now. what i have now is just a stiff shoulder from the 3 hrs call which is much much welcome than the previous burden ;)

::Don't judge a book by its cover::
a friend was quite surprised when i told him that my life and weekend is pretty boring, mostly watch movies. he said that he had the impression that i was a very outgoing person. this made me think of another friend who was surprised to know that a girl we know who looks very quiet all the time actually dare to go on a trip with someone she hardly knew. so i guess there is no better way to know a person then to know the person as a whole, not just based on the vibe that person gives..
on another topic, i watched (again) the re-run of friends last night, the final episode actually and just noticed the bag used by rachel - awesome bag & wonder if anyone knows what is the model of that bag .. lemme know!

spent my sunday morning hunting for a minced beef. I went to giant, NTUC, ShopNSave still I couldn't find a halal minced beef. So I decided to take a walk to the nearest wet market, find the halal meat stall and bought myself 200 gr of it. As usual everytime I go to wet market, I'd spend time strolling around from one lane to another looking at how fresh things are. It suddenly made me realised how much I miss doing weekend marketing with my parents back home. Dad always make sure that we help mum in the kitchen during the weekends regardless of how many servants we have. Normally one of us will follow to the market, while another one stays at home preparing herself to help in the kitchen once we're home & another sis will be cleaning the fish pond with my dad, wash the bird cage or simply helping out in the kitchen. They always said that however high your education is, being a female means being able to cook and do house work. I still remember cryingthe 1st time I learned to clean the fish but if you look back at all those 'torturing' days I am glad to have parents who still insist on us girls doing housework. thanks!!

:: stuck in the middle ::
time difference is really a big issue when you are in the middle of something yet you can't do anything about it, simply waiting for someone at the other end of the world to be awake. one thing for sure, I have to said goodbye to my plan

just came back from a 3 hours lunch that Im so darn sleepy now from all the food we had. 4 of us - me, my boss, 3 hr ppl - went to sabai for a 'celebration' that our 1st project is completed. we were ushered to a private dining room and chit chat while waiting for the partner & managing partner to arrive. a very delicious food i shall said, found out that when the jordan king is in the country he will request the chef of this place to cook for him in the hotel, even one of the brunei prince enjoys the food that it is frequented by him whenever he's around. im just glad they chose that place :) i guess they've frequented this place that even the managers there know them by name & even ask about the well being of their families.
at first i thought it's gonna be quite awkward especially i got the seat next to the partner but our managing partner is so full of life and has so many stories and jokes to share with us. of course there are some office stuff being discussed between the high level people and me & 2 of the hr colleagues simply enjoy listening to all the stuff we won't be hearing had we not been there :). But all in all its a great lunch, two thumbs up for the food & i wonder if i will ever go back there sans the special greetings of course.
now i hope i can go back doing my work & prepare myself to approach boss about the oz thingy. i think going there a better option now ..

so i've renewed my permanent residence here - another 10 years to go. what am i going to do with my life for the next 10 years? stuck here? go back home? venture somewhere else? a lot of plans i do have but a lot of planning needs to be done before i can execute it. am i prepared? not for this year for sure - next year? im not sure of it too - im working on it bit by bit hoping that next year will be a time for me to plan anything. well 2 years at least i'll still be here
mom told me when she was here early this year to think thoroughly what do i really want to do in life knowing that im ageing by the day. sis just gave me a piece of advice on yahoo messenger - an advice that i keep dearly in my mind. i know they didn't really know whats going on in my mind but i know they can have some idea what it is about. all the advice is really meaningful to me if only i could execute it in my near future .. how i wish.
some of my wish might not come true if i keep on staying afoot in this little island. that means i cant hope for great thing for the next 2-3 years. so, if you have a power like a fairy god mother does - please do keep in touch.

:: Its Monday Again
Had quite a good weekend. It started with me n yolli watching Walk The Line. They said its a good movie, but I find it kinda boring .. too much talking. Well I guess this is due to me not knowing much about Johnny Cash.
Went for the dragon boat event on saturday with jen. Basically we're simply helping out the event. It was quite fun and we left around 4 pm. Went to bugis as we planned to watch any movie but there's nothing good so we ended having our dinner & chatting for hours about everything. Afterwards we went for shopping and off we went home after doing some grocery shopping. Its quite a tiring day but its fun. I remembered my eyes were full of tears when those blind paddlers took picture together after paddling for 5 km. I was - AM - really touch with their perserverance to show that being blind is not a hindrance at all.
Spent most of my sunday at home, supposed to go for cardio but I was too lazy that i simply did a 20 mins cardio at home - hope june's okay with that when i told her later he3. Went out for the dessert club outing at night. I guess people were quite unsure if the event still on that only 5 of us showed up. Supposed to meet rosie but she cancelled last minute so i simply met cindy before heading down to the place. It was a really fun night especially with joan (or is it joy?) around that she talked a lot about her travel experience - the kind of travel I've been dreaming of. It is true what she said about travelling to the 3rd world country as it will changed one day but those modern cities will always be the same, hence modern cities are her least priorities. She's been to india and china 10 years ago - when tourism wasn't hot there, iran, israel, middle east, poland, laos, angkor wat, vietnam, and lots of other places and mostly backpacking ALONE! I really admire her and she totally changed my perception of india and all other places. I seldom see local girl with her spirit, hence we start talking about how locals are divided in 2 group in general - those pampered and those outdoor and how rare in finding someone who's in between. It also open my mind about the attitude of locals. Apart from this, we also talk about the ourselves and of course the oh the forever so hot topic - life partnerl. Its good that the guy left early so 4 of us girls really talk about almost everything. It so funny listening to joan/joy's story about a backpacker who covered her face if she didn't have any make up on. Really fun night that we were the last person to left the place.
All this conversation actually gave me some new perspective on travelling as well. That's why Im so keen to join cindy on her next trip. If only there isn't any project ...
:: Hello Weekend
pink panther, the constant gardener, munich, matchpoint, transamerica, brokeback mountain (always remind me of nicole kidman in cold mountain saying 'come back to me, come back to cold mountain'), final destination 3 , rumor has it - these are the movies that I want to watch - so many movies so little time ..
Tomorrow I'll be volunteering in an event for the blind. Nalled 'naga merah' (red dragon) the blind are going to row a dragon boat from kallang basin up to the merlion. this should be fun..
updated at 2.40 PM
just had a lunch with ellyn, we didn't know where to eat so we just walked until telok ayer talking about healthy food and the organic food outing that is going to start next week when we came across this place. Simply a coincidence but the food is not bad, with us having to open our footware before heading upstairs made it feel like we're dining at someone's house. Definitely will go back there one day.

"calling all singles out there, what's the plan for v-day"
"why don't we have our gathering on v-day and all the girls wear pink"
"why not we exchange gifts on v day, guys bring flower for the girls and girls bring chocolate for the guys"
"i think i'm not joining you guys, i think i'll just stay at home - it's miserable enough to be alone on this day"
"i'm planning on a quiet night on v-day"
cheesy huh? .. well - that's some comments I read/heard from people I know or don't know. I know some people make a great deal of valentine's day and some don't - it's your freedom of choice. But I don't think you have to be self loathing just because you have no plan or still single on that day. Did I ever make deal of valentine's day? Well of course I did. During my junior high school I did make cards and gave it to my friends - its fun and as I aged *sigh* I get to know more and more about this valentine history - history, cultural, religion, and social wise.
I still took advantage of it during my Uni years though where me, my roommate, and another friend of mine had a small parcel business during this day. It's quite fun for us to be creative on how to balance the parcel, how to get the cheapest rose etc - we actually made profit, not much but still a profit.
2 years ago me & my flatmate went to a movie during this day and we decided not to go for late night movies on V-day as most girls wearing pink with a bouquet of flower on their hand *lol*
Just came back from lunch, surprisingly I didn't see that much flower seller or people with bouquet on their hand this year. I only saw a handful delivery man in my office building, unlike all other years. But there's something new too this year - On my way to the train station this morning, I saw a big heart shape with the word 'Celebrate Love' being hung on the trees along the road. Cheesy indeed..
Ah well, one thing for sure - I for one am going to watch TV tonight as they're airing Love Actually again on cable and Im kinda into Collin Firth nowadays. I dunno there's something with these brits that I find interesting. Matthew McFayden proves it more with his performance in Pride&Prejudice. Oh and one more - I'm glad that CocaCola celebrates valentine's day by giving away free light coke since yesterday ... I'm in heaven ..

It's monday again - beginning of our 2 months testing with the central team. Hope everything goes well. Nothing much to talk about now, simply blogging while downloading files from central.
Weekend was okay - decided not to go to the gym on saturday as we're going for a gathering organised by and held in one of my ex-uni senior. Supposed to meet kat and see the thaipusam together but I was too lazy to dress up that I decided to let it go and get her review on it. Lucky me not promising her that I'll come and by giving one of my colleague number to her I'm sure she had a wonderful day taking video from the preparation 'til the ceremony is over. Actually I was quite interested to see it as normally I only see them walking but with my colleague's nephew participating in the ceremony, I could see from the time they prepared themself for the event but TV won me over and there's always next year.
Gathering was okay, food was great of course ;). Spent quite a time there before heading back and watch a movie, interesting movie I shall say.
Managed to woke up early this morning to go to the gym. Almost had myself killed, thanks to the stupid lorry driver who was still speeding eventhough I was in the middle of the zebra crossing. Thank God, I reacted fast and ran back to the pavement. Else I don't know what'd happened to me. I actually was quite in a shock state that I couldn't control my tears 'til I reached the MRT station. It was like I was given a 2nd chance in life, especially after me talking to myself last night about how far better I was before religion wise. Exaggerating? I don't think so - I look at it as a sign of my deep thought last night.

::Mesotheraphy
friend : hey girl, wanna go mesotheraphy?
me: ha3, not for me. it's quite costly right?
that's a sms conversation i had with my friend. Hmm, truth is I too was interested after reading an article about it last year. Just imagine, without surgery and you can do it during your lunch break - as simple as that. The article mentioned that more and more people are doing this as they are happy with the result but, of course you have to come back on a regular basis. I wonder how many people has undergo this procedure and maintain the result without changing their lifestyle. If you know such a person, let me know..

"The man who said 'I'd rather be lucky than good' saw deeply into life. People are afraid to face how great a part of life is dependent on luck. It's scary to think so much is out of one's control. There are moments in a match when the ball hits the top of the net, and for a split second it can either go forward or fall back. With a little luck, it goes forward and you win…or maybe it doesn't, and you lose." - matchpoint
indeed it is true..
life is a mystery, you would never know what will happen to you even 5 seconds from now. Life has its ups and downs as well, you might be the luckiest person now but you never know when God wants that to be taken away from you. Just be humble, love your enemies, respect your families and friends and most of all prepare for your future - there's no one but yourself who can help you out of any trouble. Well, immediate family take part as well so maintaining good relationship with them is crucial. I for one, value my family more than anything in this world. This is what I learnt this week.

:: I can't believe it!
This afternoon someone messaged me saying if it's okay to call me and what time is it convenient to call. I assume this someone is my mom's friend's sister's niece 'cos I've been told that she'd be working here soon. Boy was I surprised when it's a male's voice at the other end. I immediately said that I thought it's a female who's gonna call me & he was surprised too that I know nuts about this. Boy it was awkward so we decided to end the call. My mom sure has lots of explanation to do tomorrow - I'll make sure of it.
::updated Feb 06 2006
Apparently my mom had no idea abt this , she gave my number to her friend when she knew that some of her friend's relative is moving here from Sydney simply for me expanding my network - nothing more than that. Poor mum gotta faced my tantrum without even knowing the head and tail of it haha.. I guess her friend is the one who has nothing better to do

my colleague asked me why I couldn't control myself like I did before, wasn't it wasted all my hardwork gone just like that. She said she used to see me at the gym all the time but not anymore.
I smiled and share the block of chocolate I was eating with the rest of them. I guess Im the only one who haven't feel wasted. I actually did but I always delayed the process of getting back in shape. I actually couldn't imagine how I could do it before .. from 56 t0 42 and now Im 52. Even today I have no mood to go to the gym when my favourite instructor is actually doing the class!! haiz ...

::Reality Check::
I've been munching and munching and munching non stop since my trip to the US. After that trip my weight gradually increased and it hit the pick during my trip home for hari raya. Managed to lost few kgs prior to going home last weekend and now its back and yet I bought myself 2 packs of chocolates. Worst still, before pump class yesterday I stopped by this chocolate shop & bought 50gr of Tiramisu chocolate!. Have been eating chicken rice for the past 2 days and craving for some indian rojak since last night - hope the shop is open today.
Anyway starting next Monday I am going back to eating normal, no diet but simply healthy. Why Monday? so that I have time to plan on my meal and start preparing my own breakfast and dinner. If going to the movie on Sunday with 'I dunno who's going' is cancelled, I can start on Sunday instead. I'm aiming to give myself a birthday present I've been dreaming of.

ketoprak, mie ayam, nasi goreng dokdok, siomay, nando's, martabak manis spesial, martabak tipker spesial, mom's chicken rice, mom's roti jala, buah menteng, mee goreng, teh botol, asinan buah - that's some of the food i remember eating when i was in jakarta last weekend...
met 2 uni friends for lunch & accompany juwi for some gadget shopping (though none of us knew the how and what).
it's just a short break home but fun with my nephew around. my elder sis was hospitalised for 3 days hence my nephew spent most of the time with me. he actually slept with me as well & i have to wake up in the middle of the night every day to make him another serving of milk - its 'fun' to be an aunt ;)
well, a friend of mine said that she'd not be going home 'til she stays here for 6 months so just that she really feel that she's out of the country. With me having lots of families here, I wouldn't be able to feel that but with the project i'm in there is no way for me to go home until october. I know what I'll miss most is the food, the families & of course my nephew. But hope that when I go home on oct, it's also to see the new member of the family... hope my sis stays well 'til her due date ...

Look at the picture and tell me if I'm wrong in interpreting it. The bear looks sad and its eyes are watery and seems to me if only it could take it will scream 'help me'. This is one of the bear who was under captivity in China for their bile. I remember watching it on TV with tears falling from my eyes. How some of them kept banging on the cage (which is soooo small) and some didn't survive after being freed. Please be kind to wild life.

Im so stress - luckily boss is on the line so I can write something here while waiting for her to end the call before getting back to being stress.. my way of easing the tension in me

I have a confession to make, I went to watch the Backstreet Boys concert last nite! Haha, I know I'm too old for this but who cares.
It all started with me wanting to go but couldn't find a friend who's interested until someone posted about it in the forum & I responded asking if anyone is interested to go. I knew I'm too old for this but who cares ;)
Someone pm-ed me saying she's too old but didn't care as well. So there we were, 3 of us - me, shara & her friend marrike - feeling super energized for our age going to these concert that we suspected gonna be loaded with teeny boppers. There we were, preparing to be the oldest amongst all and being looked at by the youngsters. Boy were we wrong! A lot of people older than us were there. I guess they were simply like us, want to see the guys live. I'm not a fan of them, I do like some of their songs - thats simply it but me being me, I simply want to see how they perform live.
Concert was good - and being a grown adult, we no longer discussed about how cute they were. The discussion after the show were more into how surprisingly ordinary nick was knowing his history with paris, how they're costume were (1 of us even said that nick patched jeans is a totally fashion faux pas).
Well, someone said that being brave and honest enough to admit seeing this concert shows our character *grin*
