THANK YOU!!
i'm just happy happy happy. one of the youtube member has confirmed me as her/his friend. hence, i should be able to watch all the movies (s)he uploaded from start 'til the end. brownies, virgin, me vs high heels, janji joni, apa artinya cinta, bintang jatuh, ungu violet, and lots of other indonesian movie - here i come!! bisous
Holla Back Girl ...
i broke my own record, if i have to say so myself, by spending the time at the gym until 10ish last night. went for the jazz class - prepared to leave early if the class didn't suit us, we stood near the exit. once the class started i, who thought it's going to be those classy dance, can't think of anything else but attending the next session next week. it was fun, mix of classic and street dance. did you see gwen stefani's holla back girl's clip? that's the dance we learnt yesterday. although before that we had to line up, 4 people in a line, and did all the basic stuff - walking, running, running and leaping, gracefully. things that looked so easy when the regulars did it but i felt like a wooden stick when it was my turn.
overall fun fun and fun, especially with the instructor who looks like a spaniards or probably latino, it added more fun. texted my ex-trainer telling her about this. her reply? enjoy while it lasted 'cos the instructor is promoted and will be moving to hongkong tomorrow *which is today*, not sure who's taking over his class. naseb naseb naseb ..

On Friendship
a friend told me how frustrated she was with few of her school mates. they never say hi online, send email or text her unless they need her help. it is always she who does the first move. knowing how this friend of mine treasure friendship, i can understand her frustration. that's why whenever i can, i took the opportunity to be in touch with her, just with a simple hi and a note just to stay in touch. out of her frustration she told me that she didn't want her friendship with anyone to become just like a ship. i was puzzled and try to find out more...
ships will always be in line when they're docked. once they sail, they'll go their separate ways in the wide ocean. there might be time when they come across each other, in which they simply continue their journey without acknowledging the other ship. only once in a while, mostly when they're in need of something, be it noticing the other ship that they're sailing through or other kind of help, will they honk the other ship. bisous

Haatsyiii
i haven't recover from the cough i had since november, and here comes the 2nd attack. my head feels like exploding any second. really can't concentrate on working, feel like doing a sickie but it's just few more hours to endure. so here i am :). supposed to go to my aunt's place tonight. my cousin is going to further his study overseas and he'll be away for 5 years. well him being an australian citizen means the chance of him not returning back here is high, hence the gathering. but, honestly, seeing how he is, i don't think he will stay there for good. even i am more excited than him about this study aboad thingy. i've already imagine all the adventures he'll be experiencing and all he could think about is december when he comes back here for holiday. pampered!!
recently i've met few secondary school friends in friendster. soo happy that i finally meet them there. but typical me, i only add them without saying hi. i am so not good in this networking thingy, eh. so i sent message to some of them earlier, just to kill time, and at the same time to rebuild the friendship. i have to learn to be more savvy here.
i managed to watch an indonesian movie on youtube. thank you to the person who upload it!! managed to find few other interesting indonesian movie but i have to be included in their friend list before i am able to watch the whole movie. i wonder what will they think if a stranger approached them and asked to be added as a friend? but then again, we always have these kinda people in friendster right? bisous

GIRLIES ...
yes i don't drink, but that doesn't mean i don't know why martini is considered as a classy drink, why shaken is better than stirred.
yes i don't gamble, but that doesn't mean i don't want to know how to play poker, the art of bluffing and what the terms in the horse race mean. anyways, you can still play for fun without involving money, eh?
in short, i am a person who wants to know stuff, i can sit listening to people talking about politics or any other stuff and share my views if i have one.
well if you girls are like me, i strongly recommend reading this book. lots of useful *and not that useful for a non-londoners like me* info which i find good to know - from shoes (hence the title) to politic, from make-up to technology. quite a nice book to read before heading to dreamland. so go ahead - read it! you won't find the martini thingy there though. bisous

Listen!
when people tell you to think about it thoroughly, when people tell you not to do stuff .. think before jumping into conclusion. never do impromptu things when it comes to something that could change your future forever. think about it, especially when all these come from people that cares so much for you. yes, it is your life after all but still what is life if you don't acknowledge your surroundings? just look at the consequences when you decided to ignore all these. do you deserve everyones empathy? i can't be the judge here. whatever it is, hope all goes well with you.. tout le mieux

:: Food Galore ::
my weekend was full with food, food, and more food!!
started with a sweet dinner on friday, well sweet at the end though it started quite bad due to some miscommunication. food was good, company was great - perfect start to a weekend. of course the were time when i was in doubt with myself over some conclusion that i had and the temptation to go back to the old lane was back again, but it didn't last long. like i always said to myself, the thought is the one that makes you wonder.
saturday was another nice day. almost backed out from the female only lunch i ended up feeling so glad not succumbing to the temptation of staying at home. though it was the first time i met all the girls, we found it great that we decided to make this a monthly event. i thank God for pushing myself to go out early.
after walking around city & toa payoh, i took the bus and headed down to a bbq event. my 2nd bbq this month! blimey. again, i was glad that i decided to go there even it meant going there by myself. met quite a number of new people and you know what you can expect when you meet fellow indonesian, warmth. the food was awesome - siomay, pempek, tongseng, sate padang *my 1st sate padang*, satay, bakwan malang, brownies, and lots more. seemed like our plan to go home was always delayed with the arrival of new foods. hopefully i'll still be in touch with the people i met there, especially now that i know some of them are staying in the east side. bisous

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.
when the sun set today, another new year comes ..
may God shower His blessings on this special day ..

Friday Blurt ...
after days of contemplating, i decided to take 1/2 day leave yesterday. went for pilates during lunch then together with jen we went to cin's place. she's on mc after 3 *three!!* wisdom teeth extraction last monday. few of her friends were there as well so we ended up chatting in a big group which was fun. our intention was to leave the house before 3, when jen need to go for her medical check-up and i go for a movie alone. i ended up getting myself a partner to go for this show. it was a good movie - though there's some disruption in between *imagine watching a fighting scene with pink singing in the background*.
planning on having an enjoyable friday at work, i came feeling light and thinking of the dinner later. but then, i realised that the analysis i generated for the japanese dept was wrong!! no wonder the cost is soo high yet the fee is soo low, hence all the question. was quite afraid when i called the person *i always pronounced his name as tonkatsu, i hope he's not mad* to do some explanation. i remember him saying he needed the report before flying to japan today! luckily the secretary answered the call saying he had left for japan and decided not to bring that report. pheeewww .. what a relief. at least i still have time to right the wrong.
as for having an enjoyable friday at work? i think i still can manage that after 4 pm later ..

Even Animals are doing Atkins

Thailand puts panda on low-carb sex diet
Sun Jan 14, 1:07 AM ET
BANGKOK (AFP) - A male panda in Thailand has been put on a low-carb diet because he is too heavy to mate with his partner, his caretakers have said.
Chuang Chuang weighs 150 kilos (330 pounds), while his partner Lin Hui is a lithe 115 kilos (253 pounds), said Kannika Nimtragol, a veterinarian at the Chiang Mai zoo in northern Thailand.
"We think Chuang Chuang should not weigh over 140 kilogrammes. Otherwise Lin Hui will carry too much weight while mating," she told AFP.
To help Chuang Chuang slim down, zookeepers are feeding him fewer bread loaves and more bamboo branches to cut back on the amount of carbohydrate he consumes, she added.
The diet program is under the careful supervision of Chinese panda experts. Six-year-old Chuang Chuang and his five-year-old partner Lin Hui arrived at the zoo in 2003 on a 10-year loan from China.
Giant pandas, notorious for their low sex drive, are among the world's most endangered animals.
Cutting out carbs is only the latest tactic used by the zoo in the hope of giving Chuang Chuang and Lin Hui a more loving feeling.
The two have been separated since December, in the hope absence will make their hearts grow fonder, Kannika said.
A plan to show them "panda porn" videos to coach them in mating techniques has been put on hold after research indicated that not all pandas learn from such videos.
Chiang Mai held an elaborate, traditional Chinese wedding for the couple in 2005 in the hope of encouraging them to procreate, and is considering bringing in a snow machine to help recreate a mountainous habitat.
But with the annual panda mating season due to begin within weeks, the zoo is preparing to try artificial insemination if the natural method does not work, Kannika said.

When the Unthinkable becomes Normal
Good Morning ..
nothing special to write down, just trying to announce to those who care that i'm still alive and kicking *smile.
after a great weekend i am now back at my desk, working my axx off to earn some living. anyways ...
had a great week - i even did few things that i never imagine doing if you asked me before. well, it's not something that's beyond limit or what but still imagining me heading to it or doing it still amused myself.
i started my religion class again, hopefully it's not one of those that i stopped halfway due to laziness. it is time for me to really get back on track. i have to learn to be discipline in this - really really discipline.
i did something else for the first time as well, and it feels good. i guess the other party was surprised with my openness but then again he's the one who always insisted on me being open. of course, there were time when i thought i was back to the old lane, but i guess i just love the idea of having it - in a different situation with a different actor of course. i know that pretty clearly judging from the bluntness and don't-care attitude of mine. let's just hope all's well ends well... bisous

The Ups and Downs ...
my workmate was having a tough time. after felling down during her trailing last sunday she was given 3 days on mc. after insistence from us she went to see the company doctor yesterday and was straight away referred to a&e. i was talking to another mate about how she has to cope with all thing since she has no one to take care of her. of course i offered her to stay at my place so that at least there's someone there for her. well she couldn't take that offer as she was admitted last night and went for surgery this morning. poor girl, i just called to check on her but she was just out of the surgery so better not to disturb her. but the she called and started crying saying how painful and lonely she was. honestly i was just chatting to another mate of mine on how being single has its disadvantage when it comes to this. yes you have fun and can plan without thinking of your significant other or kids. you can go out without feeling guilty. you have all the freedom or so they said. i am single - single by design not single by choice though ..
yes i have a nephew who i love dearly. yes i have a niece. yes i have sisters whom i can count on to every seconds. even my families here can be count on to anytime - just look at how we were there for my uncle when his wife had brain homorrghea *excuse my spelling*. but still wouldn't it be great to have someone you can really really count on to ...
while i was writing this a friend called asking if i would like to join him to a cruise trip to penang and phuket (no stopping though) as his family is in town. one of them cancel so they have a cabin that is not occupied and chances of cancelling it is very slim. basically it's a nice getaway all free of charge. tempting!! very very tempting but errrkkk... no thank you .. though what i told him was, 'that was a very interesting invitation, unfortunately i can't take leave next week ..' :)

Newly Found Love
and it's called soda plum ... the first time i tried this was last monday during dinner after our run. then yesterday while i was having lunch i noticed that this place sells a 'vietnamese soda plum'. so bought one to accompany my lunch today. and i love it!! this could be an alternative to my daily coke ritual.
though we discussed on how to make it, which is very simple actually, for the time being i'll enjoy finding this new great drink. try it!!

Perseverance, Girl ..
still feeling a bit of soreness from bowling, we continued with our monday run. it's been a month since the last run. jn was on mc so it was only me and hp. run was bad if i must say so, i did walk couple of times due to laziness. decided not to go to vivocity for dinner, as jn was on mc, we had dinner at this japanese place, the one that serve foods on paper kinda thing. luckily the dinner was not that heavy though i bought another glass of drink. the soda plum is simply great! had quite a nice chat with hp. it was a surprise when she opened up about her feelings on a certain someone in the office as i never thought of her feeling that way. anyways ...
woke up a bit late this morning that i almost - against my better judgement - decided to skip gym. but then again i've been skipping a lot A LOT that i forced myself up. the dream i had about doctor and combat didn't help either. so there i was rushing for my morning prayer and off i went, took a cab due to the time constraint *bad bad me!* i was so engrossed in looking at the schedule that i forgotten to get towels so i went out to get two. that was when i met jh, my trainer - okay ex-trainer. she was surprised to see me in the morning attending her class that we stopped and chit chatted awhile. she ended the chat looking at my middle area saying, 'you are ...' and rubbing her tummy. i said yeah, i've been putting on weight like crazy. combat was great though not doing it for a month made my stamina dropped tremendulously. i was already sweating like a pig after the 3rd track - imagine that. i was so breatheless but at the same time i decided to continue instead of leaving the class. even jh calling out my name asking me to shout in class only got me to look at her and smile. sorry jh, i couldn't participate in shouting since i'm so concentrating on not falling apart during the class. it was simply a torture chamber for me - i couldn't even do the 3 knees up without feeling sore in my glutes, let alone giving my all for muaythai. anyway i survived the whole session, with bits of cheating here and there. while i was drying my hair jh approached me asking me about my trip. i was confused, 'what trip?'. well her not seeing me for ages made her thought i was away. well i am away, away from the gym that is. so we chit chatted awhile with her updating me on her training and me updating her on my daily life. she assumed me being away from the gym was due to the busy work. i used to cancelling my training session with her several times before due to work commitment, hence her assumption. she was bloody annoyed when i told her that i was simply too lazy to go and she was almost screaming when i told her i didn't attend the new combat at all - not even once. hehe .. that's how unmotivated i was. but i've decided to change and i just hope i don't have a change of heart and make cali my home away from home again.

Rambling ...
nothing to say, actually. just that i couldn't start work as there's some issue with the network over the weekend and now we're waiting for our night job to be completed. oh well ...
another week another challenge ahead. 5 more books to finished before end of this month. yeah, i've been so absorbed in reserving books online that i didn't realise all the books can be available at the same time. oh well ...
managed to finish all books written by ms. alderson. i simply like her books - chicklit but all her stories use england and australia for its background .. so it's like knowing those two countries more and more with each of her books.
read neruda's book as well. was quite intrigue to read it after his poems being mentioned more than once in a dark gen. fiction i read few months ago. well, some of his poems are good though some of it left me in a blank state, not understanding the meaning of it.
well, guess i really have nothing to write, eh. probably it's better if i'll just get to browsing comparing mobile phone while waiting for the job - i'm so itchy to change mine..

Once a Month ...
it's the 3rd day of work this year and yet somehow i still didn't feel so into it. i didn't even follow the plan i made for myself on the timing of my project. and there i was saying 2007 should be a better year for me. i guess partly its friday but still if i put my head on it i'm sure i could accomplish something worth it today.
work aside, i started thinking of my daily life. honestly i have so many things i want to do or try yet i never made an effort to realise it. kahlil gibran once wrote, passion unattended is like a flame that burns to its own destruction. i guess it's time for me to make a point to experience something new every month.

Back To Basic
i've sent my families home this morning. i've already miss my nephew from yesterday. i can still picture all his behaviour that couldn't help myself from smiling. kids nowadays, the can think of stuff that you yourself won't think of. do you think of calling the number posted at the vending machine when the drink you wanted was out of stock in the machine? well, for sure i wouldn't but my nephew did.
well, life goes on and i have to adapt to going back to an empty space again after 15 days of noise. i've travelled around singapore for the last 15 days and for sure i'd banned mcdonalds from my diet after having too much of it for the last 15 days. boy i miss him already, our drama prince ...

tattoo .. oh no!!
after a not going-going-not sure-not going i finally decided to do pilates during lunch. for starters, i wouldn't be able to go the the gym after office later and i really really REALLY need to loose all this extra baggage. i just noticed yesterday that a saddlebag will appear soon if i didn't take action of it. and then, my fave instructor is covering the class today. hehe, after missing his classes for ages that he always ended up asking if i were busy at work, i ended up attending his class quite often again. 2 classes back to back last friday and a class today. breathe in - breathe out. inhale .. hhhhhhppp .. exhale .. shhh ... shhh .. shhh. that was when i realised he had a tattoo on his shoulder. oh no!! gone was his image as a clean non-straight guy, for me at least. haiz, the length people would go to beautify themselves, or so they thought. anyways .. class was great though it made me realised how unbalanced i am compared to last year and how thick my body was. ended the class with not even a hint of sweat *though i know my core muscle is strengthen* and a big serving of chicken rice ...

*2007*
can't believe it's already the 3rd day of the new year ..
after the fireworks, karaoke, snooker - its time to get back to reality. first and foremost - work!!
started work with a short conversation with 2 of my best friends. hmm, i wonder if they're still browsing the site or even already register for that ya? *wink wink * whatever it is, update me is all i asked for. well, a lot of people talk about new year resolution. my resolution last year was not to have a new year resolution. honestly, i never think of a resolution .. i just go with the flow and have few things on my mind. is that considered as a resolution? no idea. whatever it is 2007 must be better than 2006 for me - okay if this is considered a resolution then be it!
